Learn to play

Program Information

The Elite Edge Skating School Learn Play Program (LTP) is run in conjunction with Wellesley Youth Hockey. The program introduce skaters to more advanced skating skills and introductory puck-handling techniques. Following USA Hockey’s American Development Model (ADM) our LTP utilizes small area games and small group sizes to reinforce these techniques.

Program Details

  • Skaters must have completed Snowplow Sam (3), or Basic Skills (1) to enroll in Learn To Play.
  • Skaters must be at least 4 years old to participate in LTP.
  • 50 minute sessions which are comprised of 20 minute Edge class, 20 minute skills class and scrimmage.
  • Classes limited to smaller group sizes.
  • Warm viewing areas available for parents.
  • Full gear and stick is required for LTP.

Step #1:

All Learn to Play participants must register with Learn to Skate USA (click here) and use Elite Edge Skating School for the program.

Step #2:

Click the “REGISTER” button below to sign up for the Learn to Play Program through the Boston Sports Institute.
